Background The Agricultural Credit Enhancement ACE project in Afghanistan is to be housed in the Ministry of Agriculture Irrigation and Livestock. It will be managed by USAIDs Kabul Mission. ACE will help to advance agricultural modernization through financing technical assistance and policy reform thereby generating agricultural jobs raising incomes and boosting Afghans confidence in their government. ACEs immediate priority will be to get credit out to farmers across Afghanistan in advance of the fall planting season. The credit will be applied to upgrade value chains and realize Afghan farmers potential to meet domestic and export market demand.
