For the past several years AREP has been implementing integrated rural development and capacity development programs in various area of Afghanistan like Kabul Baghlan Parwan Panjsher Kapysa Bamyan Paktia Khost Logar Paktika as well as Peshawar. Deliveries of Emergency and disaster mitigation have been an important part of AREPs undertakings in its humanitarian relief assistance programmes.However the post-October 2001 event brought about market change in the social political and economic conditions in Afghanistan and in the overall geo-political situation in the region. These changes particularly in the external environmental have been so significant that it is considered necessary to draw fresh judgments of the organizations overall strategy. AREP has implemented many complex projects in so many provinces despite the tough security situation. These are our physical efforts to help Afghanistan make a permanent break with its troubled past. Yet there are many issues which are beyond the capacity of communities with the assistance of AREP or other aid agencies to address through traditional programs. AREP believes that vulnerable families should enjoy a basic level of livelihood security including food healthcare a place to live education a safe and healthy environment and the ability to participate in decisions effecting their families community and country. AREP is founded in 1994 and with the government of Afghanistan under the supervision of Ministry of Economics Reg. 198. AREP is mainly involved in the sectors of Education Health Community Development Programs Capacity Buildings Humanitarian Assistance Rehabilitation and Humanitarian Assistance.
