- procurement (B): Trainees under this grant will have education and/or experience in the ICT sector.    12-Apr-2018 3:15 PM

- Nasim (S): How realistic is it to place 75% of trainees (90 persons) after completing the training? The employment rate of computer science graduates in Afghanistan is 20% (for both male and female). Any organization guaranteeing this placement rate is going to fail. Alternative suggestion will be to build start-ups and support them for a specific period of time.    20-Apr-2018 12:56 PM

- procurement (B): The purpose of the grant is to identify and provide high-value, sector-specific training that will result in employment for individuals who already have graduated with an ICT degree, but lack required skills and/or experience. Applicants may propose alternative employment options, but are expected to meet the stated employment metric for final payment.    22-Apr-2018 8:42 AM

- Cynthia (S): 1) Each Student should undergo training for how many Modules? Modules given in the RFA are: M1) Mobile Application Development and Applications Development; M2) Database DDA; M3) Web Design; M4) MCSE Training and M5) CCNA/CCNP Training. 2) Are all the Modules to be run in parallel on daily basis or else, can each Module be allocated 2 to 3 months or so, in Sequential Order? 3) How many Training Hours of Syllabus should be earmarked for each Module? In the RFA, 10 Months of Training is mentioned-total for all the Modules. 4) In Kabul, we need to train 125--can each Class Size be 25? (Multiple of 25 makes it 125). 5) In Mazaar and Heraat, we have to train 50 in each City; Can the Class Size of each Class be 25(Multiple of 25 makes it 50).    30-Apr-2018 12:20 PM

AWLEprocurement (B): #1 - The Applicant may propose training in one, or more than one, or the modules identified in the RFA; #2 - The duration of training for each module is up to the discretion of the Applicant. However, the total length of all training offered under any one grant cannot exceed ten (10) months. The Applicant is reminded that organizations can submit more than one application in response to the RFA; #3 - Your understanding of the RFA is not correct. The RFA states, “The duration of the training on one or more of the programs/programming languages listed shall not exceed ten (10) months…” See also answer to #2; #4 - No, each class size shall not exceed twenty (20) students; #5 - No, each class size shall not exceed twenty (20) students.    09-May-2018 3:44 PM

- ahamd ramiz (S): for filing up the budget form, there is WIE cost and and Grantee cost share. can you please clarify and explain a little more about it?    10-May-2018 11:04 PM

- ahamd ramiz (S): we are not registered with SAM but we have requested and now our SAM registration is under process, it is taking ten business days for validation from NCAGE and TIN. if we wait for SAM registration then it is getting late. does it possible to submit our application without SAM or submit a status statement for assertion that our registration with SAM is under process.    10-May-2018 11:09 PM

- procurement (B): DAI/WIE expects the grantee to contribute to the training; this contribution is flexible, but often comes in the form of training space, equipment, labor, etc. The grantee contribution is the sum of the value of the items/services provided by the grantee that WIE will not be funding.    14-May-2018 9:28 AM

- procurement (B): SAM is required only before award- applicants with a SAM number in process will be considered.    14-May-2018 9:28 AM
