The Organization for Rehabilitation and Cultural Development of Afghanistan hereinafter referred as ORCDA is an Afghan NGO established in 2010 by a group of highly dedicated and experienced professionals with many years of expertise in working with the international public administration donors UN agencies and non-governmental organizations the Afghan government civil society and the private sector. ORCDA is a Non-Governmental non-political not for profit Organization NGO registered with the Department of Local NGOs Department of Ministry of Economy and incorporated in the city of Kabul. ORCDA has its main office in Deh bori area of Kabul opposite to Noorin TV Network. ORCDA is member of South Asian Free Media Association SAFMA.
OUR SERVICES AND FOCUS AREAS We aim to provide our customers with a wide range of services including research technical assistance and project execution utilizing our core team of experts our associated consultants and partner organizations. These services are categorized as follows1. Research and analysis of Afghan current socio-economic and political affairs covering areas such as a trends progress and risks of the Afghan political programme its governance institutions and polity their impact on the current situation and the future of the country b the connections between the Afghan politics stability governance and development efforts and their implications for real time policy making and c the relevance progress risks and implications of critical policies in state-building counter-terrorism counter-insurgency peace reconciliation and reintegration and counter-narcotics.2. Partnership building creating an enabling environment through our consultancy technical assistance and relationships we will aim to help our customers the Afghan Government the international community civil society and private sector to overcome various obstacles including those of political cultural technical and organizational nature and build effective partnerships serving the Afghan nation. The focus of our efforts will be to create a favorable policy framework and implementation environment for both public and private investment3. Management Consultancy technical consultancy covering areas of institution building organizational development policy strategy and program design and execution research assessment monitoring and evaluation in public and private investment.4. Legal Services defense attorney lawyer services and legal advice on Afghan laws including but not limited to investment commerce finance tax customs banking employment insurance environment etc.5. Feasibility Studies and Business Development for public and private investments in areas including but not limited to good governance rule of law infrastructure natural resources energy agriculture rural development human resource development security and reconciliation and reintegration.6. Human Resource and Training Services consultancy and program execution for public and private clients in areas of staffing executive recruitment training and education including technical and vocational capacity development.7. Risk Management Consultancy research studies and recommendations to best manage current risks of political social economic physical and organizational and security nature.Organizational Chart Past Performance We had been members of women cultural and literary association Merman Kaltoory Baheer Women Cultural Association and recently separated and established this organization. We have qualified personnel to represent ORCDA in all provinces of Afghanistan. We have not been granted an international fund or grant in the past.We have conducted several civic education seminars at girls and boys high schools in Paktya and Paktika province as well as market researches security situation researches interviews with Government official on their concerns on their personal security while working with the GIRoA. We have developed a book of market research samples that allows us to simply develop questionnaire for the similar projects. ORCDA is committed to playing an active role in the process of building a secure democratic and prosperous Afghanistan by strengthening institutions and programs in both the public and private sectors drawing on its deep knowledge and far-reaching experience with public service. To achieve this goal ORCDA draws on two types of organizational assets. First is our core group of experts who provide consultancy and technical assistance to our clients and are able to lead partnership programs with the government donors civil and military actors within the international community private sector and civil society organizations. Secondly ORCDA has established a strategic partnership with a range of like-minded organizations of the private and non-profit sectors to leverage our combined synergies towards a common goal rebuilding Afghanistans future.It is also our goal to help our partner organizations and the wider community of Afghan private sector to grow as socially accountable professionally efficient and effective service providers meeting the standards of quality and accountability in accordance with the globally-accepted norms and practices.
