Relief and Skills Development Organization for Afghanistan (RSDOA) has been established by the initiatives of a group of Afghan multi-disciplinary experts and scholars in 2007 as an independent, non-governmental, non-profitable and non-political national organization, which aims to broadly benefit and serve for needy people throughout the country. The key principles behind the RSDOA is to seek resources for assisting needy and vulnerable people and develop the capacity of government in duly delivery the respective services, as well as to strengthen the technical skills of local communities through implementation of multi-sectoral effective and sustainable projects to reduce poverty, promote self-sufficiency, social justice and peace stability within the war-scattered country. RSDOA is a visionary Non-Governmental Organization, which is registered with the Ministry of Economy of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan with registration No. 1082 and implemented various projects.

Products / Services:

The RSDOA since its establishment in 2007 implemented various projects at different provinces throughout the country. Particularly; in below fields: - Participatory Watershed Management: to provide training for 5,900 farmers, community elders, Shuras, MAIL, NEPA and NDMA and other respective persons; - Advisory Services (Procurement, Transportation and Distribution of Poultry Packages; - Increment of employment opportunities through provision of vocational training for youths; - Advisory services for conducting survey and assessments, particularly; agricultural surveys; - Provision of experts and mentors for conducting food security assessment; - Establishment of Associations and Cooperatives: Provision of cooperatives management and marketing training to farmers; - Capacity Building; - Emergency Assistance to affected communities; - Provision of food preservation training to women (jarring/canning); - Provision of Literacy and Hygiene training; - Integrated Pest Management Training

Capabilities:

The RSDOA has sufficient resources and capabilities for successful implementation of any assignment. The capabilities are by two types; 1- Human Resources Capability: The RSDOA has sufficient human resources at various fields, such as; agriculture, capacity building, provision of training, administrative and financial, analytics, survey and assessments, monitoring and evaluation and logistics; 2- Physical Resources: The RSDOA has a well-equipped main office in Kabul, four regional offices and seven provincial offices, currently; the RSDOA has on-going project in Balkh, Jawzjan, Sari Pul, Samangan and Baghlan provinces.
