Kabul Press Club is an association of and for working journalists and media professionals. The club is a private organization and is not affiliated with any government office or agency and does not advocate or participate in any political activity. Kabul Press Club is a national organization which performs various activities in the field of journalism. This joint house of journalists has been opened for all Afghan and foreign media Professionals. It devotes its efforts to meet the needs and interests of professional journalists and those in related fields, as well as providing public service to the community. Kabul Press Club is a professional organization of members and former members of the news media and is established in 2014 via registration with Ministry of Information and Culture, today have a team with multifaceted experiences of 10 Full time employees and a network of 700 national and international Journalists with its Head Office in Kabul, Afghanistan.

KABUL PRESS CLUB works towards becoming a favorite coordination center for the journalists in the country where they could get together and better coordinate their activities and conduct effective media collaboration with each other. KABUL PRESS CLUB helps ease the distance among the people and government and release information on public issues and facilitates the press conference as per the public and journalists demand to protect their rights. Lectures, panel discussions, ‘newsmaker’ appearances and other Kabul Press Club functions have covered such topics as threats to freedom of the press, the various threats to investigative reporting, the relationship between the media and government, the role of community newspapers, foreign press coverage of the Afghanistan and questions about how the press covers itself.
