Capabilities:

Zar Consulting has been implementing projects for national and international clients. Amongst others UNICEF ICCO Sesame StreetWorkshop and the U.S Ambassador Grants Civil Society Partners U.S-ASGP are the main ones. UNICEF This project is a study on the functionality effectiveness and streamlining of Child Protection Action Network at national provincial and district levels. The study identifies best practices consolidates lesson-learns and produces a guide on taking measures to create a supportive environment for children in the country. The project covers 21 districts and 12 provinces including Kandahar Badghis Heart Kunur Laghman Parwan Kunduz Badakhshan Dikundi Balkh Samangan and Jawzjan. The study report will produce specific recommendations regarding capacity needs at national provincial and district levels. As a result success stories are documented gaps are identified and revisions are made and a guideline for expansion of project to communities is introduced. Another key component of this assignment was to review and improve a three years strategic program framework for ICCO which is about conflict transformation in multi-ethnic districts of Midan-Wardak Dikundi Badghis and Herat provinces. The project aimed at building the CSOs capacity to deliver strategic services in a transparent and sustainable manner. It involved developing policy manuals and training and mentoring the CSOs on six competency areas i.e. gender mainstreaming strategic management human resource management financial procedures fundraising and project management.
